for seekers & survivors

I believe everyone deserves the chance to grow in a space that feels safe, supportive, and grounded in choice. In my classes, I aim to create an environment where you can begin—or continue—the practice of listening to your body’s intuitive wisdom.

I grew up in Northeast Ohio and spent summers at a youth camp in Oberlin, where I first learned to honor nature, the land, and the other human beings I shared it with. Those early experiences left a lasting imprint and taught me about the healing power of community, creativity, and care.

Other experiences shaped me, too. While there were moments of joy and connection, there were also periods marked by instability—frequent visits from social workers, siblings entering foster care, and household chaos that led to an early diagnosis of depression. During times of transition and uncertainty, I found myself returning again and again to mindfulness-based practices as a way to cope, ground, and make sense of change.

My first official yoga studio class didn’t happen until college, at a power vinyasa studio in Cleveland. I stood out from most practitioners then—and still do—but the experience was formative. It inspired me to become certified to teach yoga in a way that felt more accessible, inclusive, and attuned to real lives.

My approach is shaped by both Western and Eastern philosophies. I draw from yoga, somatic practices, and storytelling, while my background as a registered nurse reinforces my respect for the human body’s resilience. Working in healthcare has exposed me to more pain and suffering than I’d like to think about—but it has also taught me how to witness pain with presence, sensitivity, and care.

Enjoys a good pair of funky sunglasses.
